Interview #1

My first interview was... odd and unexpected I guess. Probably since the job posting didn't state much specific description/requirements. I'm certainly surprised to find Jason (a.k.a. escar frm MnU) there too.

Overall, I have a BAD FEELING. And somewhat being offered(?) a post that I'm not really interested... But to be frank, it's a job I'd rather do instead of graphic designing >_> (IF only the salary is a little higher..) Hence that's what makes me had this 'bad feeling' OTL So at the meantime, let's just continue hunting, fingers crossed and.. 'wait' lor.

I'm still thinking why did I took Multimedia instead of Animation last time... *blergh* At least there's CSI 7 showing tonight :3

[EDIT]
Got an email from my college about my so-called "Outstanding Fees".. AGAIN (what else would they email about!) FIRST, they informed me I have AU$2,075 unpaid - so I'd proved to them with my bankdraft copies and it's settled. NEXT, they claimed I didn't pay for my core subject; MMS3002 (2 units/1 paper = AU$1k) in full which means I owe them AU$500 - So okay, at least that'd make sense since we used to count by PAPER instead of UNIT (thanks to SEGi as well for the misinformation in the method of calculating our fees). And then NOW, this email I've just received informed that I didn't pay for another subject (CMS2010 = 1 unit) instead of MMS3002 which's AU$500 as well. CAN'T THEY BLOODY MAKE UP THEIR DAMN MIND????? I've already settled with them previously regarding what fees I've paid with my bankdraft copies... and now THIS? *grinds teeth*

Densha Otoko

It's my dad's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!! <3
(even though he's not a internet user and knows nothing about my blog)

I LOVE DENSHA OTOKO. I've heard of this j-drama long ago but didn't had the chance to watch it till now. And I have NO regrets of getting the (expensive..;;) VCD boxset. Yamada (Itoh Atsushi) and Hermes (Ito Misaki) are just soooo adorable >w< >w< *they both'd just makes you go "aaawww~"* But my boxset doesn't include that special episode (so I've seen it through youtube) I'm planning to get the Deluxe part later whenever possible! ('cos youtube took it down just recently) It's sucha genki and heart-warming romance-comedy drama X3 Been reading the (translated) original 2ch BBS post of Densha Otoko now ^^;

I first seen Itoh Atsushi as Cho Hakkai (if I'm not mistaken) in the Saiyuuki drama aired on channel 8 last year. But he's just so lovable in Densha Otoko ne! XD
Next j-drama I wanna get is My Boss, My Hero. I haven't seen Tomoya Nagase drama for such a long time! ;___;

Haven't been touching my FFXII for about 2 weeks. I'm starting to miss it. I haven't been drawing much lately too. Though I'm trying to practice drawing at a faster pace. And also improve on inking/shading. AAAHH I WANT A JOB soicangettobuythingsiwantwithoutworryingtoomuchaboutmoney... OTL

Chinese New Year, 恭喜发财!

Happy Chinese New Year to all who're celebrating! ^^
Like every CNY, after our family tea ceremony, my family and I went for lunch at ah-ma's place (dad's side) first. The food are almost similar each year as well: chicken curry, 'zha chu yuk' (by mom), 'fat choy', 'chu tou thong', sea cucumber -idunnowhat, and 1 more pork dish I dunno what name. 4 out of 6 dishes are pork! ^^; Heavy rain poured during late afternoon, and then we went over to poh-poh's place (mom's side) for dinner.

For dinner, poh-poh prepared a simple one 'cos we're all stuffed from our previous meal: 'zha chu yuk' (again, but the dry version, & the *original* 'cos poh-poh made it), braised chicken, and minced-meat + taufu + vege. Yeeeaaaaahhh... and like every CNY's first day, my stomach is stuffed for the WHOLE DAY >8DD *eat first, worry later* Tidbits -> lunch -> dessert -> tidbits again -> dinner -> tidbits -> <(^@^)>
There's no gambling sessions today though, but I don't gamble anyway. Thus end our 1st day of CNY for this year.

Pan's Labyrinth
Anyone who likes dark fairytale stories with a little twist of military-rebels conflict (and some graphical violence) would love this movie. And I love it ^^ except for its graphical violence. The movie poster looks like a Alice in Wonderland or Spirited Away kind of movies for kids but it's NOT.
For example Vidal sewing his slashed mouth (side) with a needle slooowly, Vidal continuously hitting the guy's nose till it breaks & still goes on (in a same camera angle) *ouch ouch ouch* & so on. Some bloody scenes.
Storywise it's something like Tim Burton's; metaphorical and it'd make you wonder after watching the movie. And I love its cinematography as well T_T (Ofelia's bathroom reminds me Silent Hill)...;;

The Prestige
Good movie no.2, borrowed the disc from Shyu's place ^^ It has lotsa plot twists me thinks (my brain works slow? lol) But I certainly enjoyed this movie. Unexpected events and Hugh Jackman makes me love this movie <3 Didn't notice David Bowie was Tesla until the end credits. And the end credits theme song is good ^^ I've put it up so anyone interested or is looking for it you could download it here ("Analyse" by Thom Yorke).

An actual 'diary'...?

This should be a post for yesterday:

Dad and mom went for Cliff Richard at Genting and would be back tomorrow.

Hooli's birthday is today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOOLI~ <3 So went for a dinner at the Curve's Kim Gary (sankyuu for the dinner!) Too bad Pea couldn't make it, zannen desu yo. I somehow always thought of senpai whenever I passed by Uptown. Sigh sigh TT_TT *buries self in blanket*

Got Devil May Cry 1 and 2 novel; first thinking it's the manga (actual manga has another cover.. uhuhuhuhh *mistaken*) but glad to get it anyway since I've always wanted to know more about DMC's storyline. And I'm surprised Vol.1's illustrations are by Miwa Shirow o_o! TokyoPop listed Miwa Shirow as Vol.2's illustrator as well but that's actually wrong (how could they make that mistake?) oAO; Vol.2's illustrations were definitely by another artist. Don't know who though.

Later went for yumcha at Taipan with ex-collegemates. Which reminds me about one thing: I'm shocked to find that the guys have just discovered about the phenomena of torrent downloading not too long ago (...they're THAT deprived?) Where have they been all these years? D: *slaps forehead*

I wanna watch Ghost Rider--!!!
Been anticipating it since last mid-year and the most recent trailer seems awesome #_# Just hope the 'awesomeness' is not only all that's shown in the trailer.

New Layout. Fuurin Kazan

New layout! ^o^ Top pic from Silent Hill 3 (dark Lakeside Amusement Park), since I don't have any particular image in mind to make for layout - and SH game settings are my all time favourite.

Above is *pika-pika* Gackt in this year's NHK taiga drama, Fuurin Kazan. He's playing as the role of Uesugi Kenshin, a historical warlord during the Sengoku period (and if I'm not mistaken, a rival to Takeda Shingen, another warlord). I first knew of these two historical figures through Mirage of Blaze (a BL anime/novel) ^^; Would definitely watch it if I could get my hands on the subbed drama... though I presume Gackt's role won't be much? ;__; Wonder if it's showing on our Astro's NHK channel...? =_o
The last and only taiga drama I've seen was Toshiie to Matsu, starring Takashi Sorimachi, Toshiaki Karasawa and Nanako Matsushima (that took up 4 vcd boxes) @_@ Image above taken from Gackt Syndrome.

Moved blog. Studies.

Moved my blog to Blogger service. It's been YEARS since I last use Blogger. This will be my temporary (or permanent) layout template for now. Guess I'll need to figure out on the blogger codes/tags to work on my own layout ^^;

I think the information package I requested from Media Design School is LOST (it *must've* been evil Pos Malaysia.. & probably 'cos there's a DVD in it). It's been almost 3 weeks since I got their email noting that they've sent it. And today I've just received their 2nd email enquiring me about feedbacks on their information package/courses/MDS or NZ-related ("I still haven't got yer package yo~"). Well at least they do follow-up on enquiries by themselves; good online support I guess? I'll have to request the information package again from them anyway >_>

AIE, Qantm or MDS. Because it's only possible for me to go either Australia or NZ and not Canada/US. Betterbetterbetter choices: VFS, DigiPen, FullSail, etc even though some of their tuition fees are a little higher (well, not actually little..) but that's only the tuition fees. Living expenses in US/Canada are estimated to be higher than AUS/NZ (correct me if I'm wrong, I'll be happy to know I'm wrong at this lol) XD

The course I'm planning to take is related to Game Design btw (not programming) and Animation would be my 2nd choice (though I'm still considering on that). Mom was, "WHY d'you always pick to study these 'lang mun' courses??"... =A= My main interest are all that, and I don't want to regret in the future for not taking the opportunity to experience it while I still can.

About my degree studies, I still haven't receive ANY notice/message/email regarding whether I'm graduating or not from SEGi & USQ *except* a note telling me that I've got outstanding fees unpaid. The notice stated "USQ Fees: AU$2,075" .. and that's it.
I asked what are the fees I've not paid, and they (SEGi staff) DON'T KNOW and requested me to hand them copies of my past payment slips FOR THEM TO CHECK... because they've somehow LOST their student payment details when new staffs took over (they had such screwed up management system all along) *speechless* oAO;

And how the hell they could come up with that unpaid sum when they've lost their student payment logs? The lady told me that calculation came from USQ, not SEGi. Me & my dad are definitely sure we've paid all my due fees whenever a new semester begin (+double-checked with bankdraft statement), and now USQ hadn't receive parts of my payments. SO there's a loophole somewhere within SEGi in handling their student payments to USQ in a specific timeframe (you guys could get sued for this!). It's ridiculous enough that they, as an education institution could lose their student payment logs and ask for payment again despite knowing their own mistake. There's a difference between sending out 'warning letters' and request for copies of payment slips. Doi. Currently still waiting their (SEGi) response. My graduation date is around March though.
