David's showcase + Tierkreis artbook

Last Saturday's David Archuleta Showcase at Sunway Lagoon Amphitheater (finally!)
- Reached around 11.30am, parked at Sunway Hospital carpark (we're directed to park there for the showcase, lol, doesn't it seem kinda 'taboo-ish'..?) & walked to the Elephant Walk.
- Queue was goddamn long by that time.
- Only get to enter around 1pm?
- Various guest artist performances who I don't know.
- Hitz.fm's JJ and Ean made their appearances. But hey, Ean doesn't really seem that short.. He's okay.
- David finally appears around 4pm+, crowd went crazy, fangirls went crazy, yours truly was 'concentrating'.
- David's performances seems kinda rushed IMO. But his voice was *truly* superb! No doubt about it and I just grew fond of his voice even more!
- IF ONLY the crowd was more respectful and just let him sing his song w/o interfering with their random screams in between verses! Anyway, it's just a showcase so can't complain much.
- DAVID JUST LOOK EVEN CUTER IN PERSON. That shirt looks fimilar with one he wore in one of his US tour though.
- No Zero Gravity. Aww :(

Stuffs I got recently:

Gensou Suikoden Tierkreis: Official Illustration & Artworks.
I'm LOVIN' this book *glomps* Thanks to Pea for getting it for me ♥ All 108 character illusts & sketches, hmm wait, even more than 108 characters, world concept art, weapons, monsters, storyboards = MUST GET for fans or non-fans if ye like character designs. And the book's THICK. Just lookit the cover. SKETCH. Just sketch. No fancy mancy high quality cover art shit. Each pages filled with roughly drawn art (+ color) although paper quality is average, non-glossy. But I'd consider its worth a bargain for only RM116 (Rm93 with discount). I LIKE ♥

I'm curious what's interesting about Neil Gaiman books. I chose to read the short stories since I know I hardly finish a 1-story book (except Harry Potter 1-4). This would be my 2nd Neil Gaiman book after M for Magic.

I switched my Supercard for R4. So I asked Uncle can I change that Rosey theme...? (cos it looks shit ugly) And look what he did for me instead. THANKS UNCLE FOR MAKING MY DS SO FEMININE NOW. Orz. While waiting Uncle lets me play RE5 on the 360. And I accidentally saved over my gameplay over his (.......oops) tho I don't think I sabotaged anything; prolly even restocked his ammos... AH but I'll prefer the PS3 controller very much thank you.

m-Flo feat. Alex (clazziquai) - Love Me After 12AM

The ever so fascinating m-flo, esp. Verbal m(__)m Tho I have no idea who Alex is except that he's Korean. But he's hawt ^^ *sucka for formal/neato wear* Wehehehehehhh. I love how the acoustic tune turns upbeat halfway & Verbal takes over. w00t! Thanks Kah Wai for showing me this.

BTW, a note to make someone happy. YES YOU. If you're reading this, though I have no goddamn idea how or why you'd bother loading this friggin' page - play a song lar. I'm still waiting lol. Though I won't donate :\

David Archuleta's arrival in KLIA

Yes he's here! Arrived in KLIA 7.40pm, but he only came out about 8pm? I read that from somewhere... oh well, yours truly certainly wasn't there to witness the exciting moment OTL Though I'm happy enough that HE'S HERE IN MALAYSIA! Just last year, at this same time, he was still competing in American Idol. Look where he is now XD

Video taken from Archuleta Avenue Malaysia. Kudos to them for the great welcoming efforts! There's also some videos on his KLIA arrival which was... SCARY and sadly embarrassing to note (morbid fangirls shrieking at the top of their lungs while howling themselves towards him) and though I wasn't sure if David got mobbed while on his way out - it doesn't seem he's given enough bodyguards for it IMO ^^; Not sure what happens later.

ANYWAYS, the thought of the high-pitched screams certainly scares me @_@ (I know, it's just from youtube, but that's scary enough it makes me petrified) plus, I have the fear of being stuck in a crowded area. BUT. BUT I'M GOING TO THE SHOWCASE THIS SATURDAY NO MATTER WHAT. I wanna see him sing with my own eyes at least ^^ Really hope everything goes fine and David enjoys his stay in Malaysia! (hope he loves our local spicy gourmet too!) XD

Stuff non-related to David
Work is fucked up lately. Tasks piling up, tasks coming in out of nowhere, less than a week deadlines = ASS. I can't help but thinking "are they sucking up to every bits and pieces of the client's requests?". I'm still fond of this company, but my hatred towards the project timelines just kept accumulating. And there ought to be some notice like "Things designers want non-designers to know" or vice-versa (programmers, client servicing, etc.) rather than assuming "oh, it's just changing/adding in a word/image, very fast one mah" but it turned out you've gotta revamp the whole damn thing in fact because of various reasons that you're too tired to explain 'cos doing that is just ass crap thrown back at you (client wants it, so it has to be done kinda crap) and might as well save it for work to meet the divine deadline. I know the other department has their own problems as well, but since I don't know what it is, so I'm just ranting senseless here to feel better myself. Sorry, I've seen too much AVGN. Happy thoughts after this, think positive, be optimistic, be nice, smile.

Bring David Archuleta to Malaysia. Resident Evil 5

'Cos it'll be many Malaysian fan's dream come true (including yours truly)!!! \^o^/ Though according to Archuleta Avenue Malaysia, Sony BGM has confirmed that DAVID IS COMING TO KUALA LUMPUR as part of his Asian tour!!! *spazzesdies* BUT, not sure how true or confirmed it is, I'd only be 100% convinced when I see an official released statement on it - so the motive of signing the petition still stands!

His recent ongoing US tour videos absolutely makes me crazy & hopes to be one of the franticly obsessed girls screaming within the crowd over his geeky dance moves. Just imagine we get to see him performing live here in person would be super super super awesome ♥ ♥ ♥

These are some of the exclusive songs he performed during his US tour:

Northampton 2/3/2009 - Zero Gravity
An unreleased 'neo-disco' song. GAH WHY IS IT UNRELEASED?

Allentown 1/3/2009 - Medley
Of "One" (U2) *ARGHspazzesdiesagain*, "You Gotta Be" (Des'ree), "A Thousand Miles" (Vanessa Carlton) and "I'm Yours" (Jason Mraz).

RESIDENT EVIL 5 some first thoughts.
Got my copy last Thursday thanks to my colleague, Ikan Bilis' help! You're a star!
I don't play much PS3 games, but holy, RE5 just looks astounding *__* Spent half of my game time turning & looking at the environment around me. And they did a superb job in their character talking facial expressions, especially Sheva - total opposite of The Umbrella Chronicles' super-stiff talking animations, and yes, it beats the animation of RE: Degeneration by a mile IMO.

Everything's better than RE4 (partner gameplay, weapon switch, more diversed enemies) except the limited inventory part; you can only store 9 items with you, and another 9 with Sheva. Minus the 3 weapons, 3 ammos, 1 melee vest, 1 restorative, means I'm only left with 1 empty slot for Chris.... (I love bringing 3 diff weapons lol) *sucked* But that's just a minor flaw through the game this far :3

Some quick David A's stuff I'd wanna bookmark...

Archuleta Avenue Malaysia.
Our very own local stop catering for Malaysian Arch Angels! <3 Hurray!!!

David Archuleta Singapore!
Title says it all~

Ford Day Performances

Performing in full length, "Angels" by Robbie Williams.

First time performing his first single: "CRUSH".

And also my ultra most favourite, "Imagine" by John Lennon (full length! now i've gotta rip this off to mp3 just to listen). Can't help laughing at what he's trying to say after performing "Crush" ('you know.. I don't know.. you know.. I hope I'm not anyway..') XD

On some personal subject...
*REALY* should pickup my tablet & draw again by now. I still have 2 commissions left undone and I'm sososoo sorry again m(__)m
October is approaching, November, then comes December! (CF2008alreadyHOMG!) *lies flat against the floor somewhere...*

Hari Raya week my new company (joined mid Aug) went for a Japan trip, leaving 4 newbies behind (yup, including me who'd DIE to go to Japan with a FREE FLIGHT TICKET & HOTEL STAYS) ............. How ironic. But I always remind myself there'd be a day I could save up enough to finally afford a step on Narita Airport. Yes.
